Visiting a New Church Can Be Intimidating...

We know because we have all been there.  We designed this page to help you prepare for your first visit to First Baptist Church so you know exactly what to expect.  On a typical Sunday morning at First Baptist, you will find many different kinds of people each on their own unique faith journey.  Chances are there will be other newcomers just like you. Whether you’re new to the faith, or a longtime Jesus-follower, we have a place for you.

We Look Forward to Seeing You!

No matter what week you choose to visit, we look forward to seeing you!  We are confident that you will find a loving church, a place to connect, and a place to grow in your faith.  To help us prepare for your visit, please fill out the connect card below.

  • What's the experience like at First Baptist?
Our Sunday gatherings are authentic, fun, and relaxed, but also intentional. In total, our worship service lasts about 60 minutes. Through practical messages, powerful music, and creative media, we present the truths of the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and apply to your life, even if you've never been a part of a church before. There is no dress code, so dress comfortably.
  • What should I wear?
At First Baptist, you’ll see everything from suits to T-shirts and shorts. Wear what makes you feel comfortable—you’re among family here!
  • Where do my kids go for worship?
We have nursery programming (Birth - Pre-K) and kids programming (Kindergarten - 5th grade) during worship in our Faith Forest environments. At First Baptist, our children’s ministry is much more than “childcare”. We intentionally structure our children’s ministry to help children know God through fun, age-appropriate, and highly engaging Bible lessons. Trust us, your kids will love it and learn a lot! Each environment is led by at least two-prescreened, background checked adults who abide by our Children and Youth Protection Policy. If you would like your kids to worship with you during service they are more than welcome to join your family.
  • What kind of message will I hear?
You’ll hear an encouraging Bible-based and life-application message by our Lead Pastor Nate Marsh. On occasion, we’ll have a guest speaker who will share an impactful and uplifting message.
  • Where do I park?
We have visitor parking in front of our sanctuary doors (Door 'B') on the south side of the building, but you are welcome to park anywhere in the parking lot.
  • What is worship like?
Our worship lasts about one hour. Our music is a blend of contemporary and traditional music so there is something for everyone. We combine many worship elements at various times throughout the year. We believe our worship is vibrant, meaningful, and will be encouraging to your faith journey.
  • What time does your worship start?
Our worship begins at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings and lasts for one hour.
  • What happens when I visit the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. You will be greeted with a good morning and a smile. We want you to feel welcomed. However, we know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us! We want you to visit to your comfort level. Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
