Children

Faith Forest: 9:15-10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings

Faith Forest is an interactive model for children, Kindergarten through 4th grade. Children and volunteers meet from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the lower level of the church called the "Cove" which is the room with glass doors across from the Fellowship Hall. Faith Forest uses the Spark House curriculum called "Spark Activate Faith" which allows children to experience the Bible story multiple ways.

PathFinders: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Sunday mornings

First Baptist has a program called "Pathfinders- Kids on the Path to Discovering Jesus" during the worship hour each Sunday except the first Sunday of the month. Pathfinders meet during worship at 10:30 a.m. in the Faith Forest Cove and are for the children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. The first Sunday of the month is communion Sunday, so the children are in the sanctuary. There is a special time during the worship service on the first Sunday of the month-just for them!

Nursery: available during Faith Forest and Pathfinders

The nursery will be upstairs by the sanctuary for newborns to pre-Kindergarten children. The nursery is offered during both the Sunday school hour (9:15-10:15 a.m.) and the worship hour (10:30-11:30 a.m.) Freda Ensley will lead the nursery. She has been on staff as our Nursery Coordinator since 2019. Mary Clare Halloran has been recently hired (Oct 2021) as our new Nursery Assistant. Mary Clare also works at Jardine Elementary as a Special Education Teacher.
