The Good Friday celebration is when we come together to remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Your entire family will enjoy a meaningful time of worship and reflection. This will be a Combined Worship Service with 7 North East American Baptist Churches.  Come and celebrate Good Friday us with!

Tenebrae, a Latin word meaning "shadows," has been observed in the church of Jesus Christ since the fourth century. On this Good Friday we remember the death of Jesus and recall his seven last words on the cross. As we remember the last words, we will extinguish the candles on the communion table, one by one. The gradual extinguishing of the candles will be accompanied by prayers, songs, praise music, choral anthems, sermon messages, and readings from Scripture. Following the final hymn, the Christ candle will be extinguished to signify Christ's death.
 
The service will be March 29th, 7:00 pm, at New Mount Zion Missionary Missionary Baptist Church in their Fellowship Hall Building at 2801 SE Indiana. The service will be livestreamed and Childcare is available.
